French law on equal gender pay, the Group is already engaged in a virtuous approach
France has implemented a decree obliging companies to publish a yearly gender equality index based on 5 indicators. This obligation has applied to companies with more than 1,000 employees since March 1, 2019 and will gradually be applied to smaller companies with at least 50 employees in March 2020. The index evaluates wage differences on the basis of 100 points, with a minimum of 75 points required for compliance with the law. If they achieve less, the company must implement corrective measures to achieve 75 points within 3 years. SICAME GROUP will publish its results in the autumn of 2019, within the framework of the recently created UES France (Economic and Social Unit).
The Group's HR department takes a proactive approach to the crucial issue of gender equality and has invested a great deal of effort to the virtuous approach in place at the Group's French sites, it reviews each situation and implements corrective measures when necessary. This approach will be extended to ensure that equality remains consistent with the core values of the company, to which all employees are entitled.
