Successful Enedis visit to the Pompadour site on Production Capacity for underground HV-A accessories
The visit by the ENEDIS delegation last 27 October, consisting of Annie KIRCHE, Manager of the Assessment, Equipment and Supplier Relations Department, Gilles GALLEAN, Technical Director and Executive Board Member, François BLANQUET, Assets and Industrial Policy Director, Joël COSSERAT, Purchasing Director, and Patrick RICCI-BONOT, Electrical Equipment Purchasing Director, was made after SICAME was awarded a major part of the contract for HV-A underground grid accessories. In this context, ENEDIS Senior Management wanted to ensure that the Pompadour site really had the capacity to deliver this big contract without creating a risk for either ENEDIS or SICAME. They were welcomed by Vincent ROY, Philippe ARMAND, Jérémy CHOFFAT, Laurent MOURICHOU and Damien JEANNEAU. The visit mainly covered all the investments that SICAME has made since 2014 to become a major player in this field, and additional investments begun since the contract was awarded.
Damien JEANNEAU and Jérémy CHOFFAT also showed the completed and future productivity improvements to enable SICAME to serve the market under normal profitability conditions. The new ‘lean’ organisation of the expansion/assembly/ kitting line for junctions and the EPDM moulding and extrusion plant were particularly remarked upon. Xavier SOUCHE also took them to visit the LABEP and Françoise MAZET showed them SICAME Academy. Our visitors were impressed as much by the equipment as by the competence of the people they met. In particular they were able to see that SICAME is completely self-sufficient to carry out all qualification tests for HV-A underground accessories. They also gave us a few ideas for broadening our training offer.
Our visitors left assured of SICAME’s capability to supply ENEDIS under the best conditions, both for underground HV-A and in the company’s other areas of expertise.
