SMART METERING AT THE HEART OF THE ENERGY AND DIGITAL TRANSITIONS OF BUILDINGS
Consuming around 44% of energy in France, buildings consume more than anything else, ahead of transport at 31.3%. In terms of better control and oversight of energy consumption and better consideration of the comfort and health of users, requirements including certification / labelling and future thermal regulations for buildings, measurement and metering, are essential for identifying areas for improvement and developing environmental strategies within the context of the energy transition.
Above all we need to measure energy flows and detect significant customer demands. Metering is also essential to meet the requirements of labels and to monitor them such as the future RBR 2020*, which will accelerate the renovation of tertiary buildings, in particular public buildings, to move towards energy-buildings positive.
This evolution will be accompanied by the implementation of smart grids to manage storage and exchange at the local level.
* Responsible Building Regulations.
