SICAME DUBAÏ at the Dubai Wetex show
Last October, SICAME Dubai attended the Wetex show, the water, energy, technology and environment show. Intended aim of this participation: the United Arab Emirates market, including the Dubai market and its major player, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), also organiser of the Wetex show, and its subcontractors.
The local subsidiary's stand presented products and solutions appropriate to Sicame underground distribution, the range of Cegers Tools crimping tools as well as the range of CATU safety equipment.
The Wetex show has become a major annual event for international organisations and companies specialised in energy, water and the environment, as much to exhibit their technologies and products as to identify investment opportunities in these areas, with large companies and decision-makers from the region and around the world.
Over three days and covering a floor area of 70,000 m2, Wetex 2017 attracted more than 30,000 visitors, 2,000 exhibitors and 75 sponsors from more than 50 countries. These figures have increased markedly, both in terms of floor area and the number of visitors and exhibitors. This growth is also explained by the participation of newcomers from the fossil energy, renewable energy, solar energy and nuclear energy sectors. This growth reflects the extent to which the Arabian Gulf, particularly the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is attracting the attention of the whole world.
