First meeting of all the Group's laboratory managers
The first meeting of the eleven test laboratories in the SICAME Group was held on 17 and 18 October 2017 at SEIFEL in Saint-Malo.
This working group’s aim is to bring all the Group’s laboratories up to the same quality of test services, but also to automate or lighten certain administrative tasks to release more time for tests and to roll out continuous improvement of processes. The purpose of this meeting was also to offer training to new test managers within laboratories expert in their fields of activity.
For this training package, the Group has powerful tools such as inter-laboratory tests used to validate test methods. The Group’s first inter-laboratory test was held in 2016. It was also agreed to extend the range of mutual internal audits, already implemented between certain laboratories.
As a conclusion from this meeting, its participants unanimously acknowledged the quality of the discussions, which were fruitful and constructive. Everyone was able to explain the special features of their organisation, how they operate, progress they are making, discuss a given issue and raise the visibility of current and future synergies. The test laboratory working group is a dynamic illustration of the Group’s slogan “Together we progress faster than on our own”.
